Project name: Design of dynamic measurement methodology and design modifications of a cylindrical test rig for vehicle braking performance evaluation
Programme Title: TACR Gama
Call number: PP1
Call title: 3rd call for tenders - Gama
Project title: Design of a methodology for dynamic measurement and structural modifications of a cylindrical test rig for the evaluation of the braking effect of vehicles
Project registration number: TG03010020 - 2016_11_01
Project description: The project focuses on the design of a cylindrical test rig that will also enable the evaluation of braking performance based on dynamic measurement methods, including the description of the measurement methodology and its practical verification. The dynamic measurement method used is not unknown, but its practical application and its potential is neglected in practice. Practice is mainly focused on the use of static methods, which, however, offer more investment-intensive solutions. The result of the project is targeted at Actia CZ, which is engaged in the development of a cylindrical test rig for legislatively stipulated inspection tests of road vehicles in terms of their environmental performance. It can be expected that the solution offered by Actia CZ may also appear in a reduced form in regular service centres. In order to increase the interest of these centres in Actia CZ's product, it would be advisable to offer not only emission evaluation, but it is necessary to prepare the cylinder testing room for further use. One of them could be the solution proposed in the project to evaluate the braking effect by dynamic measurement method. Thus, it can be concluded that the market is partly determined by the state legislation, where vehicles (both private and company) are regularly inspected in STK (technical inspection) and SME (emission measurement) and it is in the interest of the company to continuously maintain the fleet in such a condition that it does not have problems during the legislatively mandated inspections.
