The Department of Material Science and Manufacturing Technology of Technical Faculty of Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague hosted in the end of July international scientific conference “International Conference on Green Composite Materials” supported by Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, University of Malaysia and Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia. Workshop AAME was a part of the conference.
Representatives from twelve different countries attended the conference. They presented new conceptions of environment - sensitive materials which save primary raw materials and are recyclable in most cases. It is about a development of materials based on renewable resources. Results focused on utilization of natural cellulose based fillers, possibilities of their use in an area of biodegradable materials and in an area of 3D print were also presented by an international team made up of Technical faculty representatives. This material research clearly develops a focus of the faculty in the area of “Life Sciences”. Also the strategy of CZU in an area of a social responsibility (CSR), where the development and application of “green” materials undoubtedly belong, was presented at the conference. A tour of the laboratories of Department of Material Science and Manufacturing Technology, which has research laboratories world-class equipped thanks to solving various research and operational projects and also last but not least thanks to the support of the Technical faculty management, was organized for the conference participants.
