On February 7, 2018, a competition for students of the CZU culminated and they submitted their proposals for innovative solutions for waste management. The contracting authority was the company AVE CZ waste management, Ltd., which cooperates closely with CZU students. The professional consultant for the CZU was Associate Professor Vlastimil Altmann. The contestants who presented their proposals to the expert committee at AVE were Marcel Havrda, Eva Došková, Jakub Švehla, Anastasia Shtukaturova and Matěj Hušek with their teams. The team of students of our faculty composed of Šárka Excellent, Matěj Hušek, Matěj Blažek, Jan Jenčík and Jan Šonský convinced the jury to solve the problem of pre-cleaning the landfill and took the 1st place in the competition. The winning proposal was created in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry of FAPPZ, where part of the analyzes were carried out.
