The Department, as a separate unit, was the transformation of the Department of Corporate Mechanization and Electrification Department in 1965 except the field "Technological equipment of buildings" also guarantees discipline "Technology of waste processing." Currently, the department guarantees tuition wide range of technical disciplines oriented according to the orientation of individual fields. They are directed mainly in machinery and technological equipment for processing agricultural products, food production, to create a suitable internal environment of buildings, for the feed industry, including storage and handling of raw materials and products for modern livestock breeding. Research is focused on issues related to energy investments in the processing of feed ingredients and their physical properties in relation to the desired homogeneity of feed mixtures on technique and stable environment for robotic milking equipment including modern concepts corresponding stable area.
