Research and teaching microbrewery was inaugurated on April 24, 2006 by CZU rector prof. Ing. Jan Hron, DrSc., Dr.h.c., dean of the Faculty of Engineering prof. Ing. Jiri Klima CSc.. and head of the Department of technological equipment of buildings, doc Ing. Miroslav Přikryl, CSc. The microbrewery was built primarily for teaching students in the "Technological equipment of buildings" and students of related disciplines for which the Department TZS guarantees and other relevant subjects, research work associated with resolving specific issues the two-stage grinding of malt substitutes malt barley appropriate surrogates, research and breeding of agricultural raw materials for beer production (different varieties of malting barley and hops, environmental) the eventual sale of surplus in the form of beer keg as its sales in restaurants university campus in Prague or bottled products in the store CZU
